Learning Espanol

I have a darling co-worker Griselda that has agreed to help me in my desire to learn spanish. Better yet - Tex-mex. The spanish I learned in high school is not what is being spoken in the real world. She laughs at my feeble attempts. I told her that all I can do in conjugate verbs. I'm afraid it is going to be a one-word grind. I have taken up writing words on post-it notes to put on my computer screen.

For Example:
Nieta-grand-daughter
My Brain- mi cerebro
Pen- pluma
Paper - papel
slow - despacio (this is how i am learning)
very funny - muy chistoso
to learn - aprender
to teach - ensenar

This is all my 'cerebro' can take in today. Enjoy.
I have been checking all your blogs, just silently. year end at work is too busy.
hugs all around.

If you have a fort worth library card you can use the online rosetta stone classes for free. Not too bad of a program....I can buy milk in 2 languages now!
